Alaska Hunting Guides

Jerry Austin, owner of Austin’s Alaska Hunting Adventures leads of team of highly knowledgeable and licensed Alaska hunting guides with over 70 years of collective Alaska hunting success. “Fair chase” Alaska hunting is the operative phrase to describe how we hunt. If a hunter happens to collect a record book animal, there will never be a question about its legitimacy.

Alaska “Class A” Hunting Guide Assistants

Class A and assistant Alaska hunting guides are the backbone of our professional Alaska hunting operation. At present Austin’s’ Alaska Hunting Adventures has up to 3 Alaska hunting guides depending on the season. Two are lifelong Alaskans and the third has lived/guided in the state for over 30 years.

Even though the assistant hunting guide may be 100 miles away, everyone gets together on VHF base station radios at night to check on the day’s Alaska hunting activity. No airplanes are used in the operation and no communication is ever made from an airplane. All our Alaska hunting guides are also equipped with Satellite phone for your safety and convenience.

About Jerry Austin – Master Alaska Hunting Guide

Following an upbringing that included years of fishing and hunting in both Washington state and Idaho, Jerry Austin found himself in Alaska in the late 60’s. Taught by his father Walt (who’s now a spry 90 years of age) Jerry and his younger brother Jim learned from Walt not only the skills needed hunt but also how to conserve the resource base. Walt was one of the first foresters in the NW to introduce selective cutting in place of the more destructive practice of clear cutting.

We now run a Wenatchee Roofing operation in Wenatchee, WA.
